Case Study: Designing a Clearer Onboarding Experience for Pocket Geek Privacy
Context & Challenges
Following Assurant’s acquisition of Privowny, the product was rebranded as Pocket Geek Privacy and integrated a new user portal. With client trials approaching, the transition created a critical UX challenge: users needed to quickly understand the new product experience without losing trust or becoming confused by the rebrand.
At the same time, onboarding flows, lifecycle messaging, and product copy all needed to be rewritten within a strict 3-month launch window, requiring close coordination across product, marketing, support, and design teams.
Solutions
I led UX writing and onboarding content efforts across the product ecosystem, collaborating with internal stakeholders and an external design agency to create a more intuitive and reassuring user experience during the transition. Specifically, I:
Redefined website messaging to align with the new brand identity, clarifying core privacy features and user benefits.
Designed a 7-email onboarding journey focused on feature discovery, user education, and progressive activation.
Scripted onboarding videos to simplify complex privacy features and reduce learning friction for new users.
Mapped onboarding and activation flows to identify friction points, boost feature adoption, and reduce early drop-off risk.
Established a consistent voice across the portal, transactional emails, and interface microcopy to reinforce clarity and trust at every touchpoint..
Results
Launch readiness: All critical onboarding, product, and communication updates were delivered before client trials began.
Stronger onboarding engagement: Early engagement metrics outperformed legacy benchmarks, validating the revised onboarding experience.
Reduced transition friction: Clear messaging and consistent UX copy helped preserve user trust throughout the rebrand rollout.
Established a scalable foundation for future onboarding experiments, A/B testing, and lifecycle optimization.
Skills Demonstrated
UX Writing & Product Communication: Translating complex privacy features into clear, user-friendly messaging across web, product, and lifecycle touchpoints.
Onboarding Design: Structuring educational email flows and support content to drive activation and minimize early-user friction.
Trust-Centered Rebrand Communication: Maintaining brand continuity and minimizing user confusion during a high-risk product transition.
User Journey Optimization: Identifying friction points and improving feature discoverability through content and UX alignment.
Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinating content delivery across product, design, marketing, and external agency teams under tight deadlines.

Case Study: Streamlining Localization Systems for Multi-Brand Scalability
Context & Challenges
As the company expanded its white-label offerings, localization workflows became increasingly difficult to maintain. Each brand relied on thousands of duplicated keys spread across fragmented projects, swelling the total volume to over 4,000 strings and making updates slow, repetitive, and error-prone.
Every product update required manual replication across brands and languages, creating operational overhead that limited scalability and slowed client onboarding.
Solutions
I redesigned the localization workflow into a modular content system that supported scalable multi-brand deployments with dynamic customization while reducing maintenance complexity:
Structured localization keys into centralized “master” projects using reusable variables for brand-specific terminology and UI labels.
Created brand-specific content layers to support deeper customization without duplicating entire localization sets.
Collaborated closely with the development team on a custom export script using the POEditor API integration to dynamically pull localized content at build time based on brand and locale requirements.
Results
50% reduction in localization volume: Consolidated duplicate strings and reusable components significantly reduced maintenance and translation costs.
Faster and more reliable updates: Streamlined workflows reduced manual errors, expedited updates, and improved consistency across brands and languages.
Rapid multi-brand deployment: New branded environments could be prepared within hours instead of days, enabling faster onboarding and personalization opportunities for new clients.
Scalable operational foundation: Efficiency gains increased exponentially as additional brands and locales were added.
Skills Demonstrated
Process Optimization: Diagnosing inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions.
Technical-Content Alignment: Bridging UX writing, localization, and automation.
Automation: Replacing manual workflows with custom scripts/tools.
Developer Collaboration: Partnering with engineering teams to align content systems with technical infrastructure.
Modular Content Design: Structuring reusable variables for multi-brand scalability.

Scaling Multi-Brand Help Centers with Structured Content
Context & Challenges
As Privowny expanded its product ecosystem between 2019 and 2024, customer support documentation (80+ articles) had to be maintained across multiple brands, Help Centers, and languages while remaining accurate and consistent.
The existing workflow relied heavily on duplicated content and manual updates, creating significant maintenance overhead, translation inefficiencies, and a high risk of inconsistencies.
Solutions
I implemented Paligo (CCMS), using its native Zendesk integration to centralize authoring, localization, and multi-brand publishing. This enabled:
Reusable variables for brand-specific terminology, UI references, and visual assets.
Modular content blocks to reduce duplication and simplify maintenance across languages and brands.
Single-source publishing workflows synchronized across multiple customer-facing Help Centers.
Versioned and branched article structures supporting controlled parallel updates.
Results
Reduced maintenance overhead: Documentation updates could be managed centrally across brands and languages from a single structured source.
Improved content quality: Shared variables and reusable components removed manual duplication and minimized cross-brand inconsistencies
Faster Help Center deployment: New branded Help Centers could be launched in hours, rather than days, once assets and localization requirements were finalized.
Scalable governance: Structured versioning and branching enabled controlled updates without disrupting live documentation.
Skills Demonstrated
Structured content architecture: Designing reusable documentation systems using variables, modular components, and centralized content governance.
Knowledge management: Building scalable documentation ecosystems supporting multiple languages and Help Centers.
Localization systems: Structuring content workflows to reduce translation redundancy and improve multilingual consistency.
UX documentation: Writing and maintaining user-focused support articles, tutorials, FAQs, and release documentation.
Single-source publishing: Managing synchronized publishing workflows across customer-facing platforms.
Content governance & versioning: Implementing controlled update workflows using branched article structures and reusable documentation standards.
